In the past couple of years, Jean Stinocher’s baked goods have made judges at the Iowa State Fair smack their lips in appreciation as well.

WOW! Iowa nips Iowa State, 44-41 in overtime

Hawkeye road wins

I’ve got to admit that I had almost given up when Iowa State scored with 4:36 left in the game and the ‘Clones took a 38-31 lead.
The Hawks had tied it up 31-all when Miguel Recinos kicked a 23-yard field goal, but on its first play after the kickoff, Iowa State completed a wide-open, 74-yard touchdown pass to take the lead.
Thank goodness Akrum Wadley wasn’t giving up.
The 46-yard touchdown pass that retied the game at 38 was one of the best catch-and-runs I have ever seen.
The Hawks had a first and 10 on the ‘Clone 46.
