Solon High School will present the acclaimed Broadway musical “My Fair Lady” Nov. 10-13, in the Solon Community School District Auditorium. Show times are at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
This year, we are excited to offer reserved seating. Ticket prices are $6, $9, and $12, depending on the seat location. All levels may be reserved in advance of the show. Activity passes and senior citizen passes will not be accepted. Reserved tickets may be purchased in the high school commons on one of the following dates:
Nov. 9: from 4-6 p.m.

Nov. 21-22: Early dismissal 1 p.m. for K-8 parent/teacher conference, 1:30-7 p.m.
Nov. 23: no school.
November 24-27 – Thanksgiving break, classes resume Nov. 28h

“Cars 2” (2011, G, Animated) This sequel to “Cars” has star race car Lightning McQueen and his pal Mater heading overseas to compete in the World Grand Prix race. But the road to the championship becomes rocky as Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage.
“Green Lantern” (2011, PG13, Action-Fantasy) A test pilot (Ryan Reynolds) is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe.

The latest display window at the Solon library, “A Reel In-Tents Experience,” is open for your reminiscing through Nov. 23. Featuring an astounding array of antique fishing and camping gear, it is dedicated to the memory of Earl Miller, long-time Solon fisherman and outdoor enthusiast. On the table next to the display are a variety of fishing, outdoor and camping books and DVDs available for checkout. Anybody that’s ever caught a fish is going to enjoy this window.

Less than two weeks remain for pre-ordering your holiday poinsettias and jar mix gift items from the Friends of the Solon Library. Deadline for ordering is Nov. 21. The Friends once again have poinsettias from Joyce’s Greenhouse in North Liberty. Only a very small number of cash and carry will be ordered, so don’t delay. Order forms are available at the library, on the library website, or by emailing solonlibrfriends@aol.com.
