For the second year in a row, the Trojans reigned supreme over their cross town rivals in a two-day doubleheader.

West’s Women of Troy sweep Waterloo East

IOWA CITY — Green and yellow streamers and chalked tributes marked the sidewalk down to the diamond. “Alise #15” was chalked on the roof of the visitors’ dugout. At first glance, one would think it was shortstop Alise Miller’s birthday.

The Women of Troy disposed of the Waterloo East Trojans 11-7 and 5-1.
In game one, the East Trojans scored one run in the top of the fourth inning, four in the fifth and two in the seventh.
