Library announces board opening

NORTH LIBERTY– The North Liberty Community Library is accepting applications until Feb. 15 for a position on the Library Board of Trustees. Applicants must be a resident of North Liberty and have a strong interest in the future of the library. Applications may be picked up at the library, or on the City of North Liberty’s commission website at http://northlibertyiowa.org/government/commissionsboards/.

David L. Wohlenberg, 50, of Fairbanks, Alaska, died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, of natural causes.

Charlotte Williams

Charlotte L. Williams, 84, longtime Coralville and Iowa City resident, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at Briarwood Health Care Center in Iowa City. Funeral services were held Jan. 23 at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial was at Memory Gardens Cemetery.


Carolyn Vinson

Carolyn J. Vinson, 73, of Hiawatha, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at her home following a long illness. Memorial services were held Jan. 21 at Teahen Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids. Inurnment will be at Palo Cemetery at a later date.
Local survivors include her sister, Jeanne Bjornson of North Liberty.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis, sister, Hazel and brother, Willard J. Martin.
