WASHINGTON– “At noon today I didn’t think we would have the weather we did,” said Aaron Six, athletic director for Washington High School. A rainy day and the potential for a wash-out turned into a very successful evening for Jane Astor’s Clear Creek Amana (CCA) girls’ track and field team on April 19. The ladies dominated the 38th annual Washington Girls’ Invitational with 172.50 team points.

Shot put: 3, Mara Jones, 36 feet, 8 inches.
Discus throw: 1, Morgan Cox, 111 feet, 11 inches. 2, Jones, 110 feet, 10 inches.
