By Lori Lindner
and Chris Umscheid

IOWA CITY– Zachary Lee Swenka of North Liberty has filed a cross claim against the Clear Creek Amana Community School District (CCACSD) as part of the lawsuit brought against him by an Oxford couple.

Spartans run away from West Delaware

SOLON– It was a perfect storm for Solon.
The Spartans dismantled one of the top offenses in Class 3A last Monday with a 49-20 win over West Delaware.
The victory put Solon into the Class 3A quarterfinals against No. 2 Decorah Friday night, and the Spartans earned a date at the UNI-Dome with a 28-20 win over the Vikings.
But as great as it was to beat the defending state champs, the team that knocked you out of the playoffs last year, the second round match against West Delaware was almost picture perfect, with Solon’s offense, defense and special teams firing on all cylinders.
