Eugene Reynolds

Eugene “Gene” W. Reynolds, 72, of Hills, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City. A memorial service was held September 17 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City.
Memorial contributions can be made to Mercy Hospice (Mercy Foundation) or American Diabetes Association.

Susan Porazil-Herman

Susan Elizabeth Porazil-Herman, 77, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Creighton University Medical Center, Omaha, Neb., from complications of an auto accident. Services were held Sept. 18 at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. The family greeted friends Sept. 17 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Geraldine Ann Richelieu Mahoney

Geraldine Ann Richelieu Mahoney, 84, resident of Tempe, Ariz. died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013, at Desert Banner Hospital in Mesa, Ariz. Born Aug. 6, 1929, in Omaha, Neb. to Lillian and Howard Richelieu, Jerry was the eldest of three children. A graduate from Creighton University, she was one of only few women accepted into the business college. She married Richard Mahoney in 1953 in Omaha, Neb. They had seven children and lived in many Iowa towns before settling in Des Moines for 15 years.

Keri Kulish

Keri Lee Kulish, 29, of Toddville, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, Sept. 16, 2013. Funeral Mass was Sept. 21 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her parents, John and Kim Kulish of Toddville; brother, Keith Kulish; her aunts and uncles, Carol Ries of Phoenix, Ariz., Juli and Chris Reed of Everett, Wash., Terri Crissinger of Mesa, Ariz., Steve and Chris Troendle of Swisher and Traci and Kevin Freeburg of Omaha, Neb.

Edna Fitzsimmons

Edna Swick Fitzsimmons, 80, of Cedar Rapids, joined her mother Bessie and grandson Adam in heaven, Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, after a courageous battle with scleroderma. Services were held Sept. 18 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Deacon LaVerne Flagel. Burial was in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
