Technology snafu creates staff headache

Due to a problem not quickly remedied, the automated circulation system at the library was out of service for most of the past week. While materials could still be checked out, renewals and holds could not be processed. Processing all the transactions once the system was back online has been completed. If there are any questions or problems with overdues, fines or holds, please call the library at 319-624-2678 and talk to a staff person. Thank-you for your patience and understanding as the staff worked to circulate materials around the technology snafu.

Save some green with Hometown Rewards program

NORTH LIBERTY– What would you choose? An energy-efficient splash pad in a west side park; LED lighting at Penn Meadows Park; or LED lighting on the bike trail?
One of these North Liberty projects will be funded by Alliant Energy utility company, as part of their Hometown Rewards program that encourages energy-saving behaviors and upgrades for Iowa towns, but only if North Liberty residents sign up to save money and energy.
In 2010, North Liberty was the first city in Iowa chosen to be a part of Hometown Rewards, and it has been picking up steam since.
