A tough week for Clippers baseball

Wins over Independence lead to losses at Solon and Dyersville

North Liberty Leader
TIFFIN– Clear Creek Amana’s (CCA) Clippers baseball team faced a difficult week with three double-headers on the road and a flooded diamond.
The week started off on a positive note with a pair of wins over Independence, but was dampened by a raging Clear Creek, which necessitated moving the Solon vs. CCA game to Solon. The Spartans picked up a pair of wins at the expense of the Clippers. Adding insult to injury, Brent Henry’s crew had to borrow a field from the University of Iowa in order to take on Dyersville Beckman, dropping two more into the loss column.
