Glanville Clark “Bill” Wheeler
Glanville Clark “Bill” Wheeler, 95, formerly associated with Century Engineering of Cedar Rapids and Vector Corporation now of Marion, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 23, 2014, in Santa Rosa, California.
He and his wife, Norma Mckenzie Wheeler, married in 1957 and moved to California in the late 1970s to their current home in Santa Rosa.
Survivors include Norma, his five children, Lorna (Jon) Holmberg, Angela Joy(Donald Murchie) Wheeler, Clayton Wheeler, William Kirk Wheeler of California and Richard Clark Wheeler of Vermont; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Local survivors include granddaughter, Kelli Evans McLaughlin of Cedar Rapids and three great-grandsons, Dylan Dolezal, Cedar Rapids, and Austin and Keegan Holub of Solon.
Private cremation has been arranged and private family services will be conducted in the near future.
His request was that in remembrance of his life that people smile and do a good deed for those that are less fortunate and could use a hand up, not a hand out.
