badminton and ping-pong like a pro. She even played in the school marching band without messing up. I could never figure out how anyone could play the saxophone while performing those complex march routines. I couldn't even play the piano and sing at the same time. She was forever coaxing me along on her adventures. Long bicycle rides where I invariably wobbled around on some gravel road and ended up skinning my knees and walking my bike home with a flat tire. Tree-top adventures where she would coax me higher and higher in the big maple tree in the pasture until I froze with fear and Mother had to call Dad home from work to retrieve me from where I clung desperately to a branch barely six feet above ground.
