Jean Ellen Fee, 61, of Center Point, died Saturday, June 18, 2011, at her home. Celebration of Jean’s life was held June 24 at Teahen Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Brenda S. Ehret of Unity Center, Cedar Rapids. Per Jean’s wishes her body was cremated.
Jean is survived by her husband, James; two sons, Christopher (Sabrina) of Cedar Rapids and Matthew (Jillian) of North Liberty; grandson, Colton; brother, Jim (Wanda) Matus of Rescue, Calif.; two nephews, Mark and Michael Matus; and niece, Caroline (Doug) Hoffman and their son, Jacob; and special friends, Pat Schomburg and Helen Wertz.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Godfrey and Delphine Matus; and sister-in-law, Barb Matus.
Jean was born Aug. 24, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Godfrey and Delphine (Pisney) Matus. She married James Fee on Dec. 12, 1970, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church. Jean worked at Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa for 30 years as a nurse for Dr. Eyanson, Dr. Struthers and Dr. Krain.
A memorial fund has been established in Jean’s name.
