Kathryn A. Miller, 88, longtime resident of Iowa City, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at the Lantern Park Care Center in Coralville.
Visitation was held June 14. Private family graveside services were held at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Kathryn Anna Kabisch was born Aug. 12, 1923, in Correctionville, the daughter of Augustine and Clara (Keller) Kabisch. On Nov. 7, 1945, she was united in marriage to LuVerne F. Miller in Waterloo. The couple made their home in Iowa City where LuVerne owned and operated Miller Repair Shop. After his death in 1981 she started a career with Memory Gardens as the cemetery administrator, a position she held until just two years ago, when she retired because of her health. Many will remember Kathryn as the kind soul that would always help you and remember where your loved ones were buried.
Local survivors include Patricia Miller of North Liberty.
