Kristin (Ness) Schwickerath

Kristin (Ness) Schwickerath, 33, of North Liberty, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, Nov. 28, 2014. A funeral service to celebrate Kristin’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 650 240th Street NE in North Liberty. Burial will follow at Ridgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, from 3-7 p.m. at Lensing Funeral Home, 605 Kirkwood Ave. in Iowa City where a prayer service and a rosary will follow. Visitation will also be held at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The Kristin Schwickerath Memorial Fund for future direction to Parker Schwickerath’s college fund.

Peter Sorensen
Peter “Larry” Sorensen, 66, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at home following a lengthy illness.
Memorial services were held Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Lensing’s Oak Hill, Coralville, with Father Edmond Dunn officiating. Burial with Military Honors was at 4 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery, Tiffin. 
A memorial fund has been established.
Larry was born March 5, 1948, in Iowa City, the son of Peter and Dorothy (Kutcher) Sorensen. He was a graduate of Oxford High School. Larry served in the United States Army in Vietnam. On Oct. 17, 1980, Larry married Sharon McCoy Adams in North Liberty.
Larry was in car sales for over 30 years with Old Capitol Motors, Hargrave- McEleney and Community Motors, retiring in 2009. He participated with his brother in drag car racing and enjoyed NASCAR.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; his daughter, Christina Sorensen; and two step-sons, Gary and Stephen Adams; four brothers: Chuck (Deena), Steve, Jim and Mike; two sisters, Susie and Diane Sorensen; and six step-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded by his parents; his brother, Paul; step-daughter, Terri Trabert; and two step-grandchildren.
