Lakeview PTO’s first annual ‘Spartan Dash’ set for April 21
SOLON– The Lakeview Elementary PTO will be hosting its first annual “Spartan Dash” on April 21, rain or shine. The “Spartan Dash” is a fun and crazy fitness event that will serve as the Lakeview PTO’s largest fundraising event of the year. Students can sign up to participate in the event on family teams. Family teams will walk, skip or run through obstacles set up along the one-mile trail in the Solon Nature and Recreation Area. All obstacles will be suitable for both children and adults. The event will start and end at the round barn in the Solon Nature and Recreation Area. The event will not be timed to allow children to focus on having fun while being active with their family. Student participants are encouraged to ask friends, family, neighbors and etc. for financial pledges to help cover the cost of their entry fee. Entry forms and all money must be turned in at Lakeview Elementary by April 2. Day of race action photos will be taken as well as an end of the race family photo. Concessions, including a Panchero’s taco bar, will be available for sale in the round barn. Plan on participating in the “Spartan Dash” and get ready for a day filled with messy fun.
