Local riders compete at state team sorting finals in Illinois
BRIMFIELD, Ill.– Area residents had a good weekend Dec. 1 and 2 at the Illinois State Team Sorting Finals held in Brimfield, Ill. Almost 200 teams competed and the high money winner for the weekend was Robert Sentman of Tiffin. Robert also won a buckle for the Level 2 Division and tied for the Masters (over 50 class) Buckle. Winning the Open buckle was Josh Cochran of Williamsburg. Matt Collins of North Liberty won the Novice Buckle and Nicholas Collins won the Beginner Buckle. Iowa riders were Robert Sentman of Tiffin; Beverly Seelman, Matt Collins, Melissa Collins, Nicholas Collins all of North Liberty; Josh Cochran, Larry Ehert, Madison Ehert, Sarah Gehlhar all from Williansburg; Brett and Kristie Maxwell and Tom Barker. Robert Sentman, Matt Collins and Nicholas Collins also won the Iowa State Team Sorting final prizes which included a pair of spurs, a plaque, and a western Shirt.
