Lou Ann Goldie
Lou Ann Goldie, 58, of Hiawatha died at her home on Monday, March 24, 2014. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Lou Ann is survived by her mother and stepfather, Lois and Jack Frisk of Cedar Rapids, a brother, Randy Fields, Boston, Mass., stepbrother, Bart Frisk and wife Melanie, Shueyville, and a very dear friend, Tony Christopherson.
She was preceded in death by her father, Keith Collier, a sister, Terry Kester and a half-brother, William Collier.
Lou Ann was born May 1, 1955, in Bowling Green, Mo., and had lived in the Cedar Rapids area since 1969. She married John Goldie in May 1981 at Palisades Park and they were divorced in October 2008. Janice Kron, 64, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a short illness. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, April 3, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond with Father David Brownfield and Deacon Derick Cranston officiating. Burial followed at the Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established for Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Palliative Care Center at the University of Iowa Hospital.
Janice Marie Kron was born Feb. 22, 1950, in Washington, the daughter of Cletus and Letitia (TeBockhorst) Kron. She graduated from Mid Prairie High School in 1968. Jan worked at Oral B (which later became Proctor and Gamble) for 40 years. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son; Chad (Tracy) Kron of Tiffin, one sister; Diane Kron of Kalona, two brothers; Jerry (Susan) Kron of Washington, Dean (Joann) Kron of Johnston, six nieces and nephews; and five great nieces and nephews.
Preceding Jan in death were her parents; and her stepfather; Harold Sahs.
