Luverne D. Hesse

Luverne D. Hesse, 70, of Sumner, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at his home after a lengthy illness. Services were held Saturday, Dec. 27, at St. John Lutheran Church, by Intern Deena Stinson. Burial was in the church cemetery with military rites. Visitation was held Friday at Becker-Milnes Funeral Home in Sumner and before services Saturday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Janice; a son, B.J. of Sumner; four daughters, Deborah Schoephoerster of Coral Springs, Fla., Lori Gronbach of Belmond, Christine Conner of Fairbank and Jennifer Jungen of North Liberty; a brother, Marvin of Osage; and two sisters, Phyllis Wilmont of Omaha, Neb., and Betty Koch of Nora Springs.
