Max Ray Fayram, 93, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness. Services were held Feb. 16 at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Anamosa with Pastor Mark Buck officiating. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery in Anamosa.

Max Ray Fayram was born Feb. 2, 1920, in Monmouth, the son of Clair and Ruth McFadden Fayram. Max was a 1937 graduate of Onslow High School. After high school Max joined the United States Army, where he served during World War II. After returning from the service Max and Betty Schuchman were united in marriage on July 3, 1946, in Anamosa. Max went to work for the Kleanall Dry Cleaning business in Anamosa, later purchasing and running the business until he retired in 1985. He was a member of the Anamosa American Legion, VFW, AMVETS, Chamber of Commerce and a former president of Iowa Dry Cleaners Association.
A memorial has been established in Max’s name.
