Methodist Church offers alternative to trick-or-treat

NORTH LIBERTY– Halloween is coming and the First United Methodist Church is offering an alternative to Trick-or-Treat. 
On Sunday, Oct. 30, from 3-5 p.m., the church will host Trunk-or-Treat in the church parking lot at 85 N. Jones Blvd. in North Liberty. Community members can register their car, decorate the trunk and fill it with candy and goodies to give away. Sign up to bring your car by contacting Lyndsee Detra at mrsdetra@yahoo.com or call 319-621-3772. Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts will be on hand with activities, goodies, face painting and more. There will be prizes for best costume and best decorated vehicle.
