“Arthur” (2011, PG13) -- comedy about a drunken playboy who stands to lose a wealthy inheritance when he falls for a woman his family doesn’t like. Stars British comedian Russell Brand, Jennifer Garner and Helen Mirren. This is a re-make of the 1981 film that starred Dudley Moore, Liza Minelli and John Gielgud.
“Rango” (2011, PG) - animated adventure comedy starring the voice-work of Johnny Depp, It is the story of Rango, an ordinary chameleon who accidentally winds up in the town of Dirt, a lawless outpost in the Wild West in desperate need of a new sheriff.
“King Corn” -- a feature documentary about two friends from college on the east coast who move to the heartland to learn where their food comes from. With the help of friendly neighbors, genetically modified seeds, and powerful herbicides, they plant and grow a bumper crop of America’s most-productive, most-subsidized grain on one acre of Iowa soil. But when they try to follow their pile of corn into the food system, what they find raises troubling questions about how we eat-and how we farm.
