“Scrubs” Seasons 1-8 Medical comedy/drama, which follows the lives of employees at the fictional Sacred Heart teaching hospital. The series features fast-paced screenplay, slapstick and surreal vignettes presented mostly as the daydreams of the central character, Dr. John “J.D.” Dorian, who is played by Zach Braff.
“Ocean’s Trilogy” All three films in one package. These crime thrillers are all PG13 and feature star-filled casts. “Ocean’s Eleven” (2001) has Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and his eleven accomplices planning to rob three Las Vegas casinos simultaneously. In “Ocean’s Twelve” (2004) Danny recruits one more team member so he can pull off three major European heists, and in “Ocean’s Thirteen” (2007) Danny rounds up the boys for a third heist, after a casino owner double-crosses one of the original eleven.
The complete “Fast & Furious” series is also now available. All of these action/crime/dramas are rated PG13. “The Fast and the Furious” (2001) starts the series as an undercover cop (Brian O’Conner) infiltrates an underworld subculture of Los Angeles street racers looking to bust a hijacking ring, and soon begins to question his loyalties when his new street racing friends become the prime suspects. “2 Fast 2 Furious” (2003) has former cop O’Conner finally arrested after letting his leader escape the law. To avoid the consequences, he must now work with an old college friend and help the police arrest a local drug exporter. Chronologically the next film is “Fast & Furious” (2009) where O’Conner, now working for the FBI in LA, teams up with Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) to bring down a heroin importer by infiltrating his operation. The most recent release comes next chronologically in “Fast Five” (2011) when Dominic and his crew find themselves on the wrong side of the law once again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord and a relentless federal agent. “The Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift” (2006) is fifth chronologically and features a new cast. In order to avoid a jail sentence, Sean Boswell heads to Tokyo to live with his military father. In a low-rent section of the city, Sean gets caught up in the underground world of drift racing.
“Immortals” (2011, Fantasy/Action, R) Theseus is a mortal man chosen by Zeus to lead the fight against the ruthless King Hyperion, who is on a rampage across Greece to obtain a weapon that can destroy humanity.
