NLFD responds to structure fire April 2
NORTH LIBERTY– On Tuesday April 2, at 6:38 p.m., the North Liberty Fire Department was dispatched to 1625 Grizzly Trail, North Liberty, for a structure fire. North Liberty Engine Company, the first unit to arrive at the scene, reportedly found a vehicle fully-engulfed by fire, with the fire having spread to the attached garage. The fire was under control within 26 minutes of arrival.
Early property damage estimate is $10,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
There were no reported civilian or firefighter injuries.
North Liberty units responding to the scene were Engine 112, Engine / Tanker 113, Quint 114, and Rescue 119. The North Liberty Fire Department was assisted by the following agencies: Coralville Fire Department, Johnson County Ambulance Service, North Liberty Police Department, Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, Iowa State Patrol, as well Alliant Energy & MidAmerican Energy.
