TIFFIN — One hundred and twenty seven seniors departed the new homeport of the Clear Creek Amana (CCA) Clippers May 24 as they set sail for life after high school.
Back in December, Mike Hahn with McComas-Lacina Construction promised Superintendent Dr. Paula Vincent and the school board “you will have graduation in your new gymnasium.” With roughly ninety work days lost due to weather, and a request for a forty-five day extension; the prospects of using the new facility were looking bleak.
Thanks to a lot of hard work and dedication, the promise was kept and the Commencement Ceremonies for the Class of 2009 inaugurated the new gym in style.
“It was exciting to have access to such a wonderful new space” Superintendent Vincent said, noting with appreciation the support of the CCA community. Vincent also had words of praise and appreciation for the school board, general contractor McComas-Lacina, and architectural-engineering firm Shive-Hattery, as well as the high school staff, for getting the facility ready in time.
