Rosemary Tumey

Rosemary Louise Tumey, 90, of Ryan, died at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, on Sunday, April 8, 2012. She was born on July 19, 1921, in Alcomdale, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Ann (McGirl) Morin.
Mass of the Resurrection was held April 12 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ryan. The celebrant was the Rev. John Flaherty. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Ryan.
Rosemary was united in marriage to Leslie F. Tumey on Feb. 18, 1947, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ryan. Five children were blessed to this marriage. Together they farmed near Ryan.
Rosemary was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Local survivors include Trudy Wright of North Liberty.
Memorials may be designated to Camp Courageous, Delaware County Food Pantry or Hospice of Mercy in Cedar Rapids.
