SIAC sponsored forum on standard based grading

The Solon Community School District 2011-2012 study states, “SCSD stakeholders will analyze and study aspects of standards-based grading and reporting at all grade levels.” Teachers, students and administrators presented their experiences implementing and learning through standards-based grading at the Dec. 8 School Improvement Advisory Committee (SIAC) meeting. A similar presentation was given at the Feb. 6 board of education work session. Parents and community members are invited to a SIAC-sponsored forum on standards-based grading, Tuesday, April 3, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school media center. The forum will provide additional information about the district study as well as an opportunity for administrators, teachers and students to answer questions posed by those in attendance.
