Solon Community Pantry taking private appointments

SOLON– The Solon Community Pantry is now taking private appointments to better accommodate families. Appointments can be made Mondays from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. in 30 minute allotments. The pantry, located in the lower level of the Solon United Methodist Church, is very private and volunteers work with confidentiality and discretion. The pantry receives Table-to-Table items early each Monday morning that include packaged sandwiches, salads, milk, juice, yogurt, vegetables and fruits. Produce from several other sources is also available as well as non-perishable items. There are no eligibility requirements and families are able to choose those foods that will help supplement weekly food budgets. Please call 319-430-8655 to schedule an appointment.
