Therese Spaight, 93, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at the Hiawatha Care Center. Funeral Mass was held Aug. 29 at All Saints Catholic Church, with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Local survivors include daughter Karen (Dan) Wright of Swisher; andgrandchildren Megan Wright and Danielle Wright.
Therese G. Spaight was born July 16, 1918, in Cedar Rapids, to Frank and Mary (Biskup) Zobl. She married Joseph Spaight on June 12, 1939, at St. Patrick’s Church in Cedar Rapids. She was a dedicated homemaker, mother and a longtime member of All Saints Catholic Church. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
