Tree planting rescheduled for May 18
North Liberty– The city’s planned Centennial Tree Planting event, which was rained out last Saturday, has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 18, beginning at 10 a.m. at the city’s new, and unnamed, west side community park, 1565 St. Andrews Dr.
Presented by Heartland Express, the event is an opportunity to celebrate North Liberty’s 100th birthday, support the city’s environmental efforts and its Hometown Rewards program, and also help plant trees that beautify the community and learn more about the trees being planted.
Attendees will hear more about North Liberty’s upcoming centennial celebrations, plans for the new community park and North Liberty’s partnership with Branching Out and Trees Forever.
