Young patron usage policy
Patrons under the age of 18 must have parental approval on file at the library, before they can sign-in to use a public computer. The parent or guardian must sign the permission card in person at the circulation desk prior to their underage patron using a public access computer. The signed permission slips will be kept on file indefinitely. Young patrons who do not have a signed permission slip on file will be denied use of the computers. Public access computers are not Internet filtered. The library staff does not monitor usage by the patrons.
The library currently has 10 public access computers connected to the Internet. The time limit for using the public computers is restricted if all computers are in use and other patrons are waiting to use a computer. The rule is relaxed if no one is waiting. No food or beverage is allowed at computer stations.
Misuse of the public computers by patrons will result in suspension of computer privileges.
