NORTH LIBERTY– With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, the City of North Liberty is looking for love notes. Starting Friday, Feb. 1, lovers of North Liberty can drop off valentines at boxes at City Hall, the North Liberty Community Library, South Slope and local banks. Or, send an e-valentine by dropping one on the city’s website at northlibertyiowa.org, or by e-mail.
One resident said, “I love North Liberty because of the tremendous growth that is occurring. It seems like every weekend I drive around and see a new house or new business going up. I love that regardless of the growth, we’ll always have our trails, ponds and parks, which have always been the heart of the community.”
Maybe you love seeing kids play ball on Penn Meadows fields, or the way the lights sparkle in the water of Liberty Centre Pond during your evening stroll, or packing into Community Center gyms to watch current and future Hawkeye stars in the Prime Time and Game Time basketball leagues. Whatever it is about North Liberty that makes your heart beat faster, put it down on paper and send a love note to your community.
