Gerald D. Stull, 68, of Cedar Rapids, died Feb. 10, 2009, in his home following a sudden illness. Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 14, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with Rev. Carroll Brown officiating. Visitation was Friday, Feb. 13, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private inurnment was at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; children, Carolyn Stull, Dean Stull, and Crystal Stull, all of Cedar Rapids, and Joe Stull and wife Annie of Ely; a brother, Robert Stull of Cedar Rapids; and sisters, Mary Beck of Belle Plaine and Esther Beck and husband John of Luzerne. Also surviving are his seven beloved grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne, Charles, Bill and Jay; and a sister, Florence.
Gerald Dean Stull was born Feb. 9, 1941, in Chelsea, Iowa, the son of Ora C. and Florence C. (Hand) Stull. He was united in marriage to Sandra Robinson in 1974 in Missouri. He worked for the City of Cedar Rapids Streets Department for several years before his recent retirement. He enjoyed western movies, camping, hunting and fishing. Above all his greatest enjoyment was his time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the memorial fund established in Gerald’s honor.
