Find your inner artist over spring break

CEDAR RAPIDS– The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art and The Shop Next Door is hosting an art camp for local students. Choose from two identical weeks: March 16-18 or March 23-25. The following sessions will be offered:
• Tuesday – Drawing
Make your own sketchbook, learn to draw from a professional artist, and make a custom frame for your favorite drawing.
• Wednesday – Recycled Art
Find out what happens to trash we throw out. Meet an artist who creates sculptures from recycled trash and create your own masterpiece from recyclable materials.
• Thursday – Fashion
Meet artists who create wearable art and customize your own t-shirt. Create beaded jewelry to keep or give as a gift.
Register your child now – space is limited! Camp will be held at The Shop Next Door, located at 111 13th Street SE, Cedar Rapids (directly behind Brewed Awakenings Coffeehouse).
Registration is $75 per child for the week of your choice. Fee includes art materials, artist presenters, and delicious snacks from the Brewed Awakenings kitchen!
