MT. PLEASANT– The Clippers of Clear Creek Amana (CCA) will send three individuals and three relay squads to the 2011 State Co-Ed Meet, to be held May 19-21 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines following their performances in the District Meet held Thursday, May 12, in Mt. Pleasant.
Jared Ganschow is the No. 1 seed in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash. Ganschow was the meet winner in all three events with times of 11.12, 21.89 and 48.76 seconds respectively. In the process, he broke school records for the 100 (dating back to 1985) and the 400. Hunter Stokes is the No. 2 seed in the 110-meter hurdles while Zach Manders is the No. 3 seed in the 400-meter hurdles. Stokes was second in the event with a time of 14.75 seconds, beating his own personal record. Manders won his event in 54.51 seconds and also broke his own personal record as well.
Dillon Villhauer, Alec Linnenbrink, Manders and Stokes will run the shuttle hurdle relay (seeded second) after their winning effort in 58.78 seconds (breaking the CCA record). Linnenbrink, Stokes, Tony Pederson and Caleb Sedlacek will run the distance medley relay (19th seed) after placing third in 3:42.15. Villhauer, Sedlacek, Manders and Ganschow will take their 4x400-meter relay on the road as the top seed in Class 3A. The quartet won at the District Meet in 3:25.63.

400-meter hurdles: Dillon Villhauer, fifth, 56.43 seconds.
4x100-meter relay: John Nzombo, Bobby Schmidt, Tyrone Simpson and Aaron Campbell, sixth, 48.56 seconds.
4x200-meter relay: Dillon Villhauer, Alec Linnenbrink, Caleb Sedlacek and Zach Manders, fourth with a time of 1:34.46.
4x800-meter relay: Cody Marmet, Jake Swenka, Luke Andrews and Jacob Henkle, fifth in 10:39.01.
Solon won the meet with 133 team points followed by Mt. Pleasant with 132. The Clippers took third overall with 99 points; Fairfield was fourth (88). Washington, Fort Madison, Keokuk and Centerville rounded out the district.
