Regular readers will know that new DVD acquisitions are listed weekly in the newspaper. DVDs are some of the most popular checkouts at the library and new additions frequently have a waiting list. The library DVD budget is supplemented by Friends of the Library to make possible the number of new DVDs we purchase.
There are several ways that patrons can assist with the growth of the DVD collection. If you are upgrading your DVD collection to Blu-Ray, the library would welcome your old collection as a donation. As your family interests change from Barney and Disney, we welcome your outgrown DVDs as check-outs for our youngest patrons. If your shelf is too full and purging is necessary, remember the library with the DVDs you have grown tired of watching. There is a need for a lot of variety as well as second copies of popular movies and your donations will be helpful.
Receipts are gladly given for your donation and any DVDs that we cannot use will be passed on to the Friends of the Library for use at the book sale with proceeds going to the needs of the library.
