Tommy D. “Tom” Millhollin, 70 of Iowa City died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Funeral services were held May 10 at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, with burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors.
Tommy Dean Millhollin was born Nov. 19, 1941, in Iowa City, the son of Kenneth and Selma (Hess) Millhollin. He was raised in Jefferson and entered the United States Army in 1964. Following service he returned to Iowa and married Patricia “Pat” Auen on April 8, 1967, in Carroll. Following their marriage the couple moved to Iowa City where Tom began a long career that spanned nearly 40 years with the former H.P. Smith Company, presently known as Loparex, retiring five years ago.
Local survivors include his three children, Jill Millhollin (Samuel Lockett); Mary Fairholm (Jeff); and Nick Millhollin (Emily) all of North Liberty.
