IOWA CITY– Spend an evening at Iowa City Regina with the new Hot Summer Nights series; it’s sure to be a cool treat.
In an effort designed as a thank you and to acknowledge the community for its continuous support and dedication, the school is hosting two evenings filled with great food and talented bands. These are free public events that provide a safe and family atmosphere and also offer something different to do on Thursday nights this summer.
Regina is home to nearly 850 students and 100 employees. The draw to Regina goes beyond the commitment to educational excellence as the school strives to involve the surrounding community, local businesses, and Regina families to support and participle with it each year.
“We’re excited to be able to give back to our entire community in this way,” said Trish Kohl, event coordinator. “To be able to offer a couple of fun evenings where people can just enjoy themselves without being asked to volunteer or sponsor something is important to us.”
Kids of all ages can enjoy Root Beer Fest 2012, with specially designed-keepsake mugs, which will be sold for $5.
