NORTH LIBERTY– That’s right. July 25, Red’s Alehouse in North Liberty is celebrating everyone’s favorite time of the year in the summer, and you will be able to enjoy great Christmas beverages and donate money to charity while you do it. So here’s the deal, Red’s Alehouse will be matching donations received in their tip jar during Christmas in July to the North Liberty Community Pantry. The evening will start at 6 p.m.
The North Liberty Community Pantry only needs $30,000 more dollars for its new building project. This will allow them to build a larger facility including restrooms, private offices, and the big thing, more storage space. Averaging 490 visits a month, Red’s doesn’t want to have to hear about them turning down anymore large food donations because they don’t have the space for it. “I don’t know about you, but I can’t think of a better way to spread Christmas cheer in July,” said Whitney Elwood of Red’s Alehouse.
