IOWA CITY– Pam Ehly, director of instruction for the Iowa City Community School District (ICCSD), has been honored as the 2012 Iowa Talented and Gifted (ITAG) administrator of the year. The announcement was made to the ICCSD school board on Aug. 7. Recognition was also given at the ITAG booth at the School Administrators’ of Iowa Convention in Des Moines. In October, Ms. Ehly will receive formal recognition at the ITAG state conference in Des Moines.

Each year ITAG recognizes an outstanding administrator that demonstrates support for students in gifted education. Ehly has demonstrated guidance and support for the Extended Learning Program through her leadership of the ELP Curriculum Review Improvement Plan. She has also supported program expansion to address the increasing needs of twice-exceptional learners and underserved populations.
