SOLON– The Lakeview PTO will be hosting its second annual Spartan Dash on Saturday, April 27, rain or shine. The Spartan Dash is a fun and crazy fitness event that will serve as Lakeview PTO’s largest fundraiser of the year. Interested individuals should sign up to participate in the event with a family team. Family teams will walk, skip, or run through obstacles set up along the one-mile trail in the Solon Recreation and Nature Area. Obstacles will be suitable for both children and adults and are guaranteed to have you laughing. The event will start and end near the round barn in the Solon Nature and Recreation Area. The event will not be timed to allow children to focus on having fun while being active with their family. Student participants are encouraged to ask friends, family, neighbors, etc. for financial pledges to help cover the cost of their entry fee. Entry forms and all money must be turned in to Lakeview Elementary by April 8. Day of race registration will also be available starting at 7:30 a.m. however a T-shirt is not guaranteed. Photographers will be on site taking fun action photos as well as an end of the race family photo. Concessions, including Subway and a Panchero’s taco bar, will be available for sale in the round barn. Plan on participating in the Spartan Dash and get ready for a day filled with messy family fun and memories that will last a lifetime.
For more information or copies of the entry form and/or business sponsor form go to Lakeview’s Virtual Backpack accessible from the Solon Community School District website.
