NORTH LIBERTY– Several North Liberty churches will be hosting “Make A Difference Day,” a service project, on Saturday, April 26, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Work teams from local churches will be fanning out all over North Liberty performing community service.
Service projects will include yard work, small construction jobs, window washing, painting and many other projects at little or no cost, to improve the lives of the North Liberty community.
“My team was the greatest; they kept asking me, “Is there anything else?” They were a gift!” commented one recipient. Another said, “Great group, they came in and discussed my needs and went to work.”
This will be the 11th time for this project, and each year it gets bigger. Organizers are beginning to sign people up. Children and youth are welcome to participate with their families, as this is a way to instill the value of working with neighbors.
For information on signing up for help, or to volunteer, call your local church or contact the North Liberty First United Methodist Church at 626-2762.
