Clippers swamp Lady Spartans, 63-44

Lady Spartans flounder against Clippers, 63-44

TIFFIN– The Clear Creek Amana (CCA) Clipper varsity girls’ basketball team opened its season, following a delay due to online learning courtesy of the pandemic, at CCA High School and soaked the visiting Lady Spartans, 63-44, on Friday, Dec. 4.
There was no rust evident in the Clippers’ performance as they capitalized on their height mismatch which Solon attempted to combat by defending the lane, allowing the Boats to paddle their way to a 15-2 lead over Solon at the end of the first quarter, dropping four shots from beyond the arc.

A way to say thank you for what they’ve done for us

Swisher Men’s Club honors veterans

SWISHER– Jose N. Harris is quoted as writing, “A veteran is someone, who at one point in their life, wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount up to, and including, their life. Regardless of personal or political views, there are way too many people in this country who no longer remember that fact…”
The Swisher Men’s Club decided to not only remember that fact, but also make a visual statement of gratitude.
On Friday, Nov. 6. members of the club installed 50 banners in Swisher honoring Swisher area veterans in honor of Veterans Day (Wednesday, Nov. 11).
