Senior Advocates host events at the library April 20

SOLON– You will want to join them at the library, Friday, April 20, not only for the movie “Iron Lady” and the always delicious catered meal from Savvy Coffee and Wine Bar; but to be on hand for Louis Picek of Main Street Antiques & Art who will present a show and tell of Czech memorabilia.


Help keep Solon beautiful

SOLON– In honor of the state’s Keep Iowa Beautiful initiative, April 2012 is Keep Iowa Beautiful month. Members of the local Octagon Club, the Junior Optimists and the Solon Optimist Club will be working together on April 20, the day before Earth Day, to clean up areas in and around Solon by picking up trash, cutting and hauling brush, pulling weeds and doing other beautification projects.
