SOLON– Solon Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, at the public library. The club will be decorating trees for the Habitat for Humanity fundraiser at the library. The club will be doing two trees– one with a nature theme (think dried flowers, seedpods, birds) and the other will be a more traditionally decorated tree. Bring items you would like to include on the trees. All are welcome. For more information contact Mardi Rasmussen at 319-624-4090.

SOLON– If you haven’t driven past the library and seen the new sign, it really should be on your next route through town. As the staff learns the computer program that runs it, the tweaking will continue but to the untrained eye, it’s a sight to behold as is.
