Hawk Talk

SPRING PREVIEW

This is the fourth part of spring football preview. The week I’ll look at the defensive backs and special teams. I’ll also talk about the spring scrimmage which was held last Saturday at Kinnick.

defensive backs
The Hawkeyes have to replace two defensive backs that had solid senior seasons.

Don’t worry, it’s just practice

Before any Hawkeye fan gets too excited about what they did or didn’t see last Saturday at Kinnick Stadium they have to remember one thing… it’s still practice.
The Hawks were scheduled to have their spring scrimmage this Saturday, April 21, but the Olympic Wrestling Trials are this weekend at Carver-Hawkeye Arena so they moved it up one week.
That means they have three or four more practices and with a new offensive and defensive coordinator, each practice is so important.
