Hawks pull through with a win

Hawk Talk

The men had a little tougher time against Grambling State last week at Carver.
The game was tight until the middle of the second half when the Hawks pulled away and won, 85-74.
Iowa had five players in double figures led by Jack Nunge off the bench with 17.
Jack hit three 3-pointers, grabbed seven rebounds, had two assists and one blocked shot. He is such a tough matchup at 6-11– shooting 50 percent from 3-point range and 56 percent from the floor.
Tyler Cook and Isaiah Moss each had 15 points.
The main stat on Tyler is he was 7-8 from the free throw line. He shot 60 percent from the free throw line last year. He’s shooting 68 percent this year and is second on the team with free throw attempts, so it is important that he keeps improving at the line.
Isaiah hit three 3-pointers in the game and is 9-17 shooting threes for the season.
Iowa has four players averaging double figures so far, with Isaiah leading the way (13.7).
