Helen J. Axline, 92, a resident of the Meth-Wick Community, died Sunday, April 22, 2012. Funeral services were held April 28 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Chaplain Kay Mineck of Meth-Wick officiated. Burial was at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Local survivors include her son, Dave (Penny) Axline of Solon and their children; Jeff (Janna) and their children, Ashley and Kelsey, Shelley (John) and their children, Justin and Isabella; Stacey (Rick) and their children, Christopher, Joseph and Stacia; and Jennifer (Mark) and their children.
Helen was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Anthony and Rose (Flidr) Novak. She was united in marriage to Francis C. Axline on April 3, 1941, in Cedar Rapids. She and Francis owned and operated West Side Sewing for many years. Francis preceded her in death in 2000.
She was formerly a member of Cedar Christian Church and attended church services at Meth-Wick.
