Larry Russell Patterson, 68, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, March 9, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends. Services were held March 15 at Sharon United Methodist Church, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. Bob Dagit officiated. Military honors were provided.
Local survivors include his brother, Patrick (Diane) Patterson of Ely.
Born Sept. 4, 1943, in Kirksville, Mo., Larry was the son of Russell and Madeline (Small) Patterson. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. On June 26, 1982, he was united in marriage to Kathy Powers. Larry worked at Dental Prosthetic Services (DPS) for 35 years.
He was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Larry’s memory.
