“Bridesmaids” (2011, R, Comedy)– This unexpected hit, of the summer movie season, is a wild and raunchy comedy about a lovelorn and broke woman (Kristin Wiig) who is picked as her best friend’s maid of honor, and has to bluff her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals with an oddball group of bridesmaids.
“Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop” (2011, R, Documentary) – Conan O’Brien’s comedy tour of the U.S. and Canada after leaving his post at “The Tonight Show” and severing his relationship with NBC.
“My Run” (2009, Documentary, NR)– After tragically losing his wife to breast cancer and struggling to raise three young children on his own, real life super hero and modern day Forrest Gump, Terry Hitchcock seized on an idea. He wanted to accomplish the impossible: run 75 consecutive marathons in 75 consecutive days to bring attention to the incredibly difficult lives of single-parent families.
“The Simpsons Movie” (2007, PG13, Animated Comedy)– Thanks to a donation, we now have this hilarious feature length Simpsons adventure, in which the town of Springfield is encased in a gigantic dome by the EPA after Homer accidentally pollutes the town’s water supply.
And, thanks to the Friends of the Solon Library for purchasing season one of the TV show “Bones” to add to seasons two, three, and four already in the collection and the second-half of the first season of “Glee.”
