“Water for Elephants” (2011, PG13, Drama-Romance) Based on the popular book by Sara Gruen, this film tells the story of a veterinary student who abandons his studies after his parents are killed and joins a traveling circus as their vet. Stars Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon.
“Snow Flower and the Secret Fan” (2011, PG13, Historical Drama) Based on the novel by Lisa See, this story set in 19th century China centers on the lifelong friendship between two girls who develop their own secret code as a way to contend with the rigid cultural norms imposed on women.
“Horrible Bosses” (2011, R, Comedy) Three friends conspire to murder their awful bosses when they realize they are standing in the way of their happiness.
Rochelle Claude-Lux won the giant jar of Tootsie Rolls at the Halloween party for correctly guessing within three of the actual number. She guessed 510 and the number was 507. She beat 62 people to win the candy.
